🡇 Tripwire Alarm Installation Guide
Make sure your vehicle's exhaust system is not hot while installing our alarm system. Allow your vehicle to cool down if you've been driving before the installation process.

Make sure to not leave any low-hanging strands of cabling that could potentially snag on something while driving (off-road terrain, etc.)

STEP 1: Look for a starting point close to the catalytic converter where you can anchor one end of the tripwire cable. Run one end of the cable through an opening or around a section of the vehicle frame. Loop the cabling through or around this starting point, then through itself so that one end of the cable is tied off. See example below:

STEP 3: Once you have used up most of the length of the cable, take the looped end and connect the Quick Link cable fastener onto itself and tighten the fitting with plyers.
STEP 4: Install the enclosed self-adhesive heat guard to the back of the alarm by first removing the plastic sheet. Activate the alarm batteries by pulling out the plastic tab out from the bottom of the alarm. Using the enclosed steel ties, attach the alarm to a section of the cabling that you determine will be sensitive to any sort of movement along the entire run of cabling surrounding the catalytic converter and connecting pipes. Avoid installing the alarm directly against the catalytic converter or any other area of the exhaust that could overheat the alarm.
